"Even if they are not sure whether therapy will help them, or if they feel in any way too embarrassed about what others will think of them, to seek help, I would urge them to do it"

Psychological Therapies

Merton Uplift offers psychological therapies in line with the IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) model. We are a primary care psychological therapies service for people aged 18 years and over experiencing emotional difficulties including low mood, anxiety, eating problems, and stress. We have experienced team of clinicians which are highly skilled at supporting people using a range of therapies.

Benefits of the service include:

  • Therapy taking place online making it easy to access, as well as less daunting
  • Appointments to suit your lifestyle, including evenings and weekends
  • No long waiting times – typically therapy sessions start within a week
  • For many, not being physically seen by a therapist and having therapy where they feel comfortable helps reduce inhibitions, encourages disclosure and offers anonymity
  • Therapy is highly accessible – using any internet-enabled device with mobile data, a basic home broadband package or Wi-Fi
  • Transcripts of every session can be reviewed both in-between sessions as well as after you have completed treatment.

This helps to enhance learning and reduce the likelihood of relapse
  • You can have additional support via online messaging with your therapist in-between scheduled appointments
  • People of all ages can use our-easy-to-navigate therapy site
